Kinda up in the air of a model and maker.
Found a bunch of Honda's from 3 to 7 bills.
Found a Yamaha 225 DX but it seems high at 9 bills but has shaft and nice blue.
Anyone got some advice for a newbie on the models, makes and $'s?????

Does she want a manual clutch (foot shift, hand clutch) or an automatic clutch (foot shift, no hand clutch)? My vote for either of these would be 200x (manual) or 250sx (auto)

1986 ATC250R (sectional pipe and Klemm Research silencer)
1986 ATC250R (Desert Bike, WAX-ON seat, Dual Cibie lights, Steering Stabilizer)

1982 ATC70 (Lifan manual 125)
1987 LT80 (piped, widened)

250cc Big reds and SX are shaft driven. Some older 200cc Big reds are also but I'm not too sure about these (depends of the model I think).

Reason to choose shaft over chain????
Bottom line??? Honda better or Yamaha good also????
Shaft is better for hauling stuff. IMO chains require more maintenance. With a differential, you just have to check your oil level and change it once in a while. Quite simple. A chain will stretch over time and wear out, so you will need to know how to replace sprockets and how to adjust the chain.
I'll let somelse chime in for the yamaha vs honda...(I've never owned any yamahas and I don't want to start arguing about that :P)

chain transfers power better but needs adjustment .. shaft is all sealed and has reverse ... Yamaha's can be good but there seems to be more honda's out there for parts
