    Mystery Machine

    Good morning gents,

    I have what I believe to be a 1983 ATC 185s... It's a mutt of years of abuse and parts from various bikes... I'm trying to find out what motor is on it the serial from the motor is TB01E-2239771 (not sure about the 1 as it is quite rubbed off)...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Motor is 1982

    Looks like your motor is a 1982. TB01E-2200013 ran up to 1983 when TB01E-3000008 started in 1983, it is a 185S. Hope this helps! Tim

    1982 185s does not have a suspension front forks..
    They were solid.
    Looks like a 1983 just liek mine to me..

    Pic of bike almost done... Waiting on some decals and headlight bracket... But I replaced the front and rear wheel bearings, ignition coil, CDI, seat cover, rear plastic, restored the tank both inside and out, new fork seals repaintd the frame and engine, new hand brake levers and cables, installed motion pro twist throttle and replaced the carb as well as the front and rear brakes, installed a UNI air filter and a supertrapp muffler... And the list goes on!
