$150, 1980 john deere trailfire, "use for parts or fix up.tracks cleat suck.seats rip.recoil broken.motor runs good", replyed to Ad and offered some PSP Games and a Sony 10 Disk CD Changer and asked "is it the Trailfire 340 or 440? do you have Pictures of it? i'm interested in fixing it up as a project, do it have a ownership?"
He replied Back "no ownership but u can get one i got the vin from pre owner its silver not busted up or anything what games u got?", Looked up what's needed to get a Sled Ownership and all i know is what's said in Here: http://www.snowmobileforum.com/gener...ownership.html
"You need to bring the sled's VIN into the MTO and they will give you the ownership for $20 I think. If it shows up on their system as "stolen" then they will give you the previous owner's name and address for you to get a letter of sale from them to relinquish the sled to you. If they don't, they can ask for the sled back."
What do you guy's think? it would be the first sled i owned if i could get it.
i have ridden my Dad's A/C Jag 440 when i was younger with my older sister on behind me, i remember my Grandfather having a A/C Bearcat (Wide track IIRC, unsure of engine size) and when i went back Home for my Dad's Funeral back in 2005 i remember going for a ride on a Polaris (Either my aunt's or her boyfriend/husband's or something) with one of my cousins while my sister was on another sled, i also remember that when me and my sister went back home for Dad's Funeral that our dad got rid of the Jag and got a 04 (IIRC) A/C Pantera (unsure of engine size). I haven't ridden a very old sled (Very Slight chance of Late 80's, most likely early to mid 90's) and i would consider myself a Arctic Cat Guy.
