    shock springs painting?

I want to get a high gloss green color for my shock springs. ive heard of just spray painting it and it will hold for a few years before it chips as long as it cures correctly. ill do it anyways just to see what happens, but what are your guys experiences? if it doesnt work i only wasted like 4 bucks. im sure the best way to go would be chroming or powder coating but if anything id do that in the future.

prep is always the key with painting.remove all grease and oil, remove all loose paint and rust.use a quality primer and paint and it will last another 25 years.
