    What to buy 86 200x or 85-86 350x

Thinking about getting another trike.I have narrowed things down a bit.It is either a 86 200x or a 85-86 350x.Never rode a 86 200x much at all.I have rode the bigger 350x more. Now besides power what are the advantages of the 350.

How much do you weigh? How much experience do you have? can you find an 86/7 200X cheap??

The 86/87 200X are harder to get parts for; But kicker mechanism, valve adjustment, carrier adjustment and dozens of other improvements were made over the 83-85 200X.

If you can ease up to a 350X, I'm certain you'll be happier.......

86/87 200x has 6 gears also BC, they are both good bikes. 86/87 200x's are tanks mine takes a beaten and runs like a champ. I have never roden a 350x much less seen one in person. But the 350x is a great trail bike Ive heard and it can get up and go. the 350x is like the best of both worlds really.

I'd go 350X all the way, simply because it has more power and is overall a larger trike.

Fun cruiser too, for when there's no reason to go fast

I have an 87 200x and a couple 85 350x's, and I would definately say go with the 350. I love my 87, but for power and comfort, no comparison. Depends on your size really. I am 6'0 250 so the bigger trike fits me better.

Like I stated power isn't the big issue. It isn't as much fun to ride with people on smaller machines, which my friends have.Plus I have a good lead on a 86 200x.Not lacking riding experience, maybe a little out practice.Always liked the way a 350 handled.Don't have really any seat time on a 200x.Just looking for a fun machine to play around on.Just there is a chance I might be able to get a 350x.No I am not buying both,no room.

The 200x is more nimble has good power and a well designed gear box. I have had both and hated the 350x stock (power wise, both bikes had good motors ) compared to the 86 200x stock. The box frame makes the 200x very balanced, hard to wheelie over. I would say if your just going to play around and have fun the 200x is better.
On a side note I modded my 350x and its my 2nd favorite bike I own, with my Tecate being first.

I may be biased, but I've had both, and I love the 3fiddy. It is the king of 4 stroke wheelers.

If you have a good lead on a 86 200X I would grab it. They are really sporty and light, easy to throw around. And if most of your friends are on smaller machines the 200X will still be plenty fast. That being said if a 350X and 2nd gen 200X were in front of me and I had to choose I would take the 350X. More power, more parts availability. But if you've got a good lead on a good 86 200X buy it, they are great trikes.
