Chineese Ebay Carb Review video

I thought this was a pretty good review, 2 parts, 20 minutes. I know a lot of people have had good luck with the cheap Ebay Carbs. I got one myself but haven't put it on my 200s yet, kinda makes me wish I would have just bought a rebuild kit LOL. Anyway has anyone had problems with their knock off carbs?

used many of them and they work fine. yea you may run into 1 or 2 bad ones once in a while. but in general, they are good and work fine. The biggest thing I have is they are always in larger sizes and this causes some issues. the chinese made engines do not flow as well as our older honda engines do. (high quality racing models excluded). So you may end up with a 26mm vs. the stock 24. of a 200x. not too bad, but the opening will be bigger o the front. if you have a 200s/es/e/? then the stock carb was 22mm. moving to a 26mm has some issues as the engines hae a smaller exhaust than the 200x performacne model and with more air in you need to get it out. what happens is a dead spot during acceleration. such as from idel you push fariyl hard on the throttle and you get a hesitation or dead spot. sometimes it even causes the engine to die. why? too much air flow rushes in at once. jetting cannot fix a carb that is jsut to big for the motor and exhaust. so make sure you get a properly sized carb.
