Finally gonna suck it up & get a 250R

Found one 3 miles from my house, couldn't believe it. The guy was asking $2300 but I beat him down to $1500. I pick it up tomorrow afternoon, my bank was closed when I looked at it today lol

Anyways, its a very clean bike but needs rear axle bearings. It has an FMF pipe on it and I think an Answer silencer??? not sure. But it seems to run great and idles good too. Plastics are Maier & are decent except for the shrouds beginning to crack at mounting holes. Oh & it needs a new chain too. Other than that it is a very respectable trike. Comes with itp wheels & almost new holeshots. He is gonna throw in the stock gold wheels that have the original tires on them. Bike has a brand new clutch too. The only thing I don't like is that some retard painted the swingarm red!!!

My plan is to save some jack & make it into The Black Monster!!! gonna get all black plastics & a black seat cover!

Huntsville, Alabama I got an e-mail from the seller today that it sold. The link is dead. You should use www.searchtempest.com when you search Craigslist. You can search 500 miles around you or you can search the US.

I saw that one also. He had sent me a couple of emails about and and it seemed like a good deal, but the 9 hour one way trip turned me off.

That is awesome, post pics up when you get it. I can't wait to start on the "resto-mod" of my '86. I just got a really nice set of oem rear fenders for it and now I'm really itching.

Congrats to the OP, you'll love the R. Post some pics of it also.

Cool Doug!.... I rode a buddy's 85 over thanksgiving and it's a completely different ride from the Tecate....I actually felt more comfortable on the "R" than my Tecate...
