kawi did make a trike with a diff it was a priarie(? spelling)i believe a 200cc shaft drive
on one side there was a locking nut or something to lock it so it would send power to both wheels.
a guy i know had one i was told it isn't 4 sale then found out he sold it about a month later.
1982 250r it will run again, new rings, razors, stator!!!(UGLY)
1985 200x runs on race fuel or alky ONLY!

On a trike (or any ATV with a diff.), They still have a solid rear axle like a sport model, except that its enclosed in an axle housing....its not limited slip just because there is a differential.
[20:55] <waterpumper> putting a racing pipe on a Foreman is like putting a high dollar bikini on a 400 pound chick...just because it fits doesn't mean it looks cool

In Michigan, the cops would take the time to find something illegal on that trike. I have to drive 3 hrs to get to the closest public land I can legally ride on, but there are 3 state parks within 45 minutes that I can ride my snowmobile on. That's right- sleds are OK, wheeled ORV's are banned. I may have to build something like this right to the letter of the law just to mess with em...

I checked the laws in Mi. recently, and you are right... The differential is the tuff part. I was checking to see if my trike would be legal in Mi., since I spend a fair amount of time there. The MSP gave me the O.K. since I have only one drive wheel.

I have an idea that may work, I'll have to check with the MSP during my next trip. If O.K., it will be relatively cheap to make. Are you interested?

No....just because it has a differential dosent mean you can lock and unlock the axle. Its still a solid axle. Are you talking about the black thing inside the wheel? Thats just there to cover the nut that holds the hub on...

    This is what jason85atc250r says:

i used to have one a 83 200cc one if i remember rite. they have a regular manual clutch. it was just as fast as a honda 200x. it's fun driving around with the rear in the open position only one rear wheel has power like a car. when you turn and the innner tire lifts it spins then when it grabs and pulls a wheely.
This is the klt200 not the 250......

I know there is a differental like a car i have read other people talking about it on here before.

thank you i thought i was the only one that has seen one of these machines
the one i saw was a red praire or how ever you spell it.
it wasn't a diff. it was a live axel that sould be unlocked to power one wheel or locked to power both wheels...
that would work on a street legal machine here in ny
