    strange about my 200s

    about 4 months ago, i put brand new brakes on my 85 200s. and rode it around for a day.... it's been sitting for that long, this morning i go to ride it.. the rear brakes are locked up...
    i had to pull the brake rotor off.. which took me like 2 hrs
    and those barely used pads fell apart

    in the process of removing the brakes, i screwed up the threads on the end of my axle, where the castle nut goes


    why would they just freeze up like that ?

    They freeze up like that because they dont have a spring to release like drum brakes do. So you have to move them to get the brakes to release. Like if I parked my car for a year and stopped with the brakes and didnt use the car after I wouldnt be able to ride it
