First Gen 200x Alternative Thumb Throttle

One of my 84 200x has a twist throttle. I prefer a thumb throttle. Anybody use a later model ATC or TRX thumb throttle on the first gen 200x? Any obstacles?

Just trying to avoid wasting $$ on the experiment.

    Thanks!

I have a thumb throttle from an '86 for sale if it'll fit.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

Hi Muthey - I missed your post - LMK if you're still interested and I'll grab some pictures. My twist throttle has a long cable.

FYI - I used the later model (TRX 250?) from Muthey with a stock 200x cable with no problems.

awesome I had to build a new cable from one of my other 225 dx cables for the twist throttle, took me about 2 hours but it works perfectly now, only issue was attaching the carb cap which is why I built a new cable, and also had to remove some of the cable insulation to allow for the twist thank goodness they made those cables a little longer than was needed. Was an awesome trade and glad you were able to connect right on to it with another cable was a little worried about that
