The fact that you have any lights at all rules out a bad ground. The bulbs have 3 prongs correct? I would say to just check your wires for corrosion, cuts, or poor connections at the plug. I'm not sure what they are like stock since mine was rewired with it's own switch but if the wires are single coming from the switch then split into two, then you know the switch is good, so start at the lights and work backwards. If you have a multi-meter, check for continuity between the matching ports on the plugs, white to white, blue to blue, black to black.
