    200x engine carnage

Well I bought a 200x frame with a box of parts. I looked through the parts a little on Saturday and this is what I found. The guys said the engine was locked-up when he got it. He couldn't break it free, so he disassembled it and found a broken piston. I didn't find the piston, but check out that twisted and broken connecting rod! Also, check out the aluminum shavings in the oil pump (guess I did find some of the piston).Click image for larger version.

Hmm my piston rod looked very similar to that. I just got done putting the new one on the crank. That was a P.I.T.A. to get the crank apart and back together right. No shops around here would touch it.

@hoosierlogger: He sent me a spare crank with the rod already on it. It seems to be in good shape, but the bearings are noisy. I'm planning on swapping the bearings, but that doesn't look easy either!

@taiser: No, he said he bought it that way. I think he couldn't get the crank out, so he decided to sell it.

Bearings arent too bad to get off with the proper puller and a press. Mine were on there pretty good. You more than likely wont get them off with regular hand tools.

this Is what I used to get them off.
