    Side by side input

    I'm looking to sell some items & """" possibly """ buy a side by side. I'm looking at a 2011 Yamaha Rhino 700 or the 2011 Kawasaki Teryx750 .

Looking for peoples input on what the better choice would be. If anyone has either model or older the reliability of each machine is my question.

I will be using the SBS for small yard work, plowing my driveway & trail riding. I don't plan to beat on it when trail riding cause these things aren't cheap!!!. The 50cc's difference isn't a big deal for me.

I own an ATV shop, and either of these would be a good choice. You'll have to maintain the Teryx a little more but both are good solid machines. Speaking from experience here, I wouldn't really recommend any of the others....

I own a 2006 yamaha rhino 660 special edition . I bought it new and i have not have had no problems with my bike . I have around 195 hours and 1720 miles on my bike . I don't mudbog my bike , but i do get it dirty from time to time . I have not bought nothing for this bike besides oil , and a air filter . I recommend the yamaha rhino . The kawasaki has more power and it is faster but , if i had to buy between the two , i will go yamaha . I am a yamaha guy , almost everything in my shop is made by yamaha .

The Kawasaki is the UTV to get. The Rhinos are slow underpowered machine. And also the Rhinos have a higher center of gravity so they upset easier. The Kawasaki Teryx has A HUGE aftermarket following. Even more so than the polaris Razor! This is because the Kawasaki Teryx seems to be the perfered machine UTV racing and is the winningest machine in the SCORE series. It is kinda like what the Honda TRX 250R was to quad racing years ago.

I personally like RZR 900s, but out of the lineup you gave I have to give it to the Kawi.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

I like the Razor 900's too... But they are 65" wide and have virtually no utility value! The new Razor is machine suited for sand dunes and desert terrain and thats pretty much it. The width makes it useless for east coast trail riding.

True, but that 0-50 mph time is pretty good.

The Razor is sweet if i was just hitting dunes and planned to race it or hit trails every weekend. The part of NJ i'm in we have no place fun to ride, so i have to travel to hit trails. I do need something more versitile and reliable and not to fast. The high center of gravity i am aware of cause i had a 2003 Grizzly 660. That was the main thing i really didn't like about the Grizzly & the other was (carburated) hard start when cold outside.

A large aftermarket market isn't a big concern to me. I'll need a winch and plow. Maybe some better headlight bulbs too. That's about it. The cost of a SBS vs quad is big so i'm just getting some ideas and this site has always had the best advice.

Also i'm trying to build up some extra cash to put down on a new ride so look for in the classifieds section hopefully today or tomorrow for:

a 1985 running 200x in Good Condition and a 1984 200x that is stock and needs to be redone with a ton of extra parts. Enough to build a 3rd minus an engine. It's going as a box lot. Not parting out. Don't PM me yet until you see them in the classifieds section. I have to post up a bunch of pictures..thanx
