How do I tell a stock size dg head from a big bore dg head? Is there a way or do they look exactly the same, trying to describe how to measure the size to someone else but they don't have the knowledge or the tools. So is there a way to tell by looking? Also will it fit my 83 if it was made for a 82.

If I'm not mistaken, don't the big bores have 7 stud holes and the standard heads 6?

I do believe the true Hondaline ones have 7 head studs.

I knew that about the hondaline kits but I asked the seller and he said that he thought it was from a big bore but he wasn't sure.

yes the big bore cylinder have 7 studs and yes it will bolt on your 83 no problem if its not a big bore

This dg head has 6 stud holes. What is one of these heads worth it looks in decent shape. Although it doesn't have the gold look anymore it appears to have been blasted.

Ok seller contacted me back he got it measured and it's stock size. Anyone know what it's worth, I'm thinking like a 100 but I don't know.

They have larger fins/more surface area to keep things cooled down.

I think it's a great mod and not that easy to find..... 100 to 200$ is a good price as long as it isn't warped or pitted up from a prior failure......

well it just sold for a 150 so I guess thats what it's worth oh well just as well
