    Starter pulley help

hi guys, broke a tab off the starter pulley on my 84 YTM 200. I can't seem to get the starter pulley broke free, when I crank on it the whole the shaft spins so I pull a pry bar across the pulley to hold it as I try to turn the nut or bolt that holds the starter pulley on. Is it left threaded or am I just not strong enough Thanks for the help

you need to stop the piston from moving, id pop it in gear or shove a decent sized screw driver between pulley and gear selector. worked for me, and yes lefty loosey righty tighty!!

thanks, finally got it to break lose. Any Idea why the recoil is hanging up on it, if I loosen the little nut in the center of the recoil it spin back freely but the nut works itself loose so I don't know if the spring that holds the dog ear up is to sprung thanks for the help.
