    1985 ATC 125 Idle problem.

I have a recently perchased 1985 ATC 125 that will pull start and run if you keep your hand on the throttle. It just will not Idle. The carb has been taken apart and cleaned The small Idle jet was plugged so we cleaned it. It acts like it is not getting fuel at Idle. I have the service manuals that say to set the carb to 1 1/2 turns out as a starting point. there are two adj screws on the left side. Does anyone have a diagram of how to adjust the carb, or do i have a bad carb jet? Thanks

You made need to clean more than just the jet on it, check the passages on all side of the carb. Dont put anything in them, just use carb cleaner. Blow through every passage and make sure carb cleaner comes out the other side. Also, make sure your pilot jet isn't clogged on the sides.

Sorry I should have said that I did clean the entire carb, it was not very dirty. The only thing that I found wrong was the plugged small jet. Is there any info on float settings ect. are both screws set at a turn and a half to start? Thanks.
