well i got the ct kit, the head has brass particles in the head which is not the head that ct sends with their kits.... it appears the brass or copper particles are from the washer beside the connecting rod on the crank end (believe its called a thrust washer) im not happy lol

Tell the dude you bought it from you wants some money back for false description???
If it ain't sideways......what's the point!!

yeah, i managed to get some money back... im selling the big bore kit for what i have into it, told the guy the condition its in.... goin to buy the ESR 310 Power Valve kit... this build has been on hold all summer, i went and bought a 1971 Slickcraft GREW SS165 120HP and have been putting money into it.... it'll be done in a week or so, then i'll be back on the trike!!

well all new engine and swingarm bearings are ordered!

now im trying to decide if i should mate the ESR 310 PV with a +4 crank or a non stroker crank?..... sorta leaning towards the stroked crank, thinking the power valve would take care of the low end issue of a stroker crank....

    what do you guys think?

i think i would stay away from a srtoker crank.. and i would not get a power valve .. once you port the cylinder for a stroker it can never be ran on a stock stroke again,,,, i have seen alot of trouble with thw new powervalves.... i think its too soon and there have been problems,,

okay, thanks Kasey! i'll stay away from the stroker!!!! but... really want the PV lol.... esr's are adjustable and look like a very simple setup. couldn't i just back it off...IE don't use it to its max? or put a stopper on the shaft to make sure it wouldn't engauge too far and hit the piston?

i haven't moved forward on this build really..... i do have the bearings and a new shiny Hot Rods crank, connecting rod!!

i'm having second thoughts on putting the bearing kit in, this engine is still on its original bore and piston!! the guy i got it from said it was in his family since new and it didnt have much ride time on it.... never thought it was so fresh that it would be on the original piston tho!!!! woohooo!!!

    Cool

MASSIVE change in plans!!! The trike in my avatar thing came back to me, I own it for $20 yes $20 and 1 hour of work!!! The deal, I get his tri-z running (needs base gasket and engine put in trike) then I own the 250r!!
He blew the 250r up. So I sent my other 250r engine in to get the bearings and crank installed. Should pick it up today! Still needs a piston and bore. Putting it in the newer trike... Ill slowly get the older trike working and looking good!!
