How do those ^ mount? Do you have to have the flexmount kit with them? If not, where or what do they mount to? I've always wondered bout' them, and can really be needed.

I bought these to mount the hand guards to the handlebars

    http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/produ...l-mounting-kit

they basically just bolt to your handlebars and then bolt to the hand guards.

They have saved my hands a bunch of times

Thanks k00leo. I just haven't been able to tell from the pictures. & you spent some coin. I found some in our families price range. For the cold and forest riding- http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/pr...FamilyId=15583, and the bling guards, not quite as good as k00leo's, but for multiple family machines these may just work:http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/pr...FamilyId=19214.

Those guards look good to me. I might pick up a pair of those for another bike.

As long as they protect your hands from those holly trees, right?

^ Ya, you got it. Also, wrecks happen quick, and sometimes kids don't always let go of the bars in time (I've done it on occasion myself, lol). Also, in the below freezing wind, even the plastic will block the wind & help a bit. This has been a helpful thread, I always wondered how they mounted, some are hundreds of dollars, I saw that and gave up wanting, now I want again, lol.
