Hey guys thanks for the compliments..It took a LOT of work. Here's what I did step by step.
1 Sealed up exhaust and carb ports, covered the wires good so nothing could damage them.
2 Sprayed the entire thing down with airplane stripper, let it sit for a bit and sprayed it off .
3 Took my air compressor and blew it dry
4 Double checked and taped up ALL orifices that could get anything in the engine then put it in my sandblaster and did some blasting.
5 After blasting it I took a drill with a wire wheel and got all remaining dirt and grit off it(it pretty much polished the entire engine.I will post pics).
6 Pulled off rocker covers and timing gear cover so I could powder coat them high gloss black.(I had already powder coated the gear shift lever)
taped off the head and side covers to paint them with Duplicolor high heat engine enamel cast coat iron(part # DE1651).
7 Wiped everything down that needed to be painted with degreaser and then acetone.
8 Took my TIME and sprayed the head and side covers. They have 4 good coats on them.
9 I then set the engine under my body shop heat lamp and positioned it to where the temp never got over 185 degrees on any part of the engine letting it sit for 15 minutes and it was done.
    10 Re-assembled it.

The pics dont do it justice.I'm doing a lot of powder coating to a guys Banshee and he's pretty much seen the entire project and couldn't believe it's the same old motor.I was actually going to pull the engine down and powder coat everything(Like I'm doing to the rest of the tryke) but it's hard to find parts for.Plus it runs perfect so if it aint broke don't fix it right??lol
