A guy I work with said he used to have a 87 200X. This is a straight up guy, so I wouldn't think he'd lie to me. I asked him if he was sure that he didn't have a 86, and he said no because he even had a title and it also said 87. I told him that there wasn't that many of them made and he should have kept it. Well, we got to talking about the possibility that there might actually be a "few" 87 R's somewhere. I told him about the differences in the 86 and 87 R, and his eyes lit up when I told him that supposedly the 87's had a keyed ignition. The next words out of his mouth was that his 87 X had a keyed ignition and it also had a neutral light that only worked when it was running (no battery). Is this true? He's said he had some pics of it and he'd bring them. He also said that he thought maybe the bike is still here in town somewhere, but he thought the guy that had it took the motor out and put it on a Blaster frame and since sold the Blaster, but still maybe has the frame. I'll get some pics asap. Let me know if that's right about the keyed ignition and the neutral light. Thanks guys.
