    supertrapp exhaust for 250sx what is it worth?

    My 85 250sx I just bought came with a supertrapp exhaust on it. I am planning on restoring the SX back to stock, so most likely I will take the supertrapp off. If I were to sell it, what would it be worth? It looks pretty good. The only thing I can see wrong with it is the header pipe has a bend in it just before where the header and muffler connect. I think it could be fixed in a matter of minutes with a little heat. I don't see myself keeping it on it. Call me crazy but I have gotten to the point that a loud pipe just gives me a headache and it is a 250sx, not a 350x. If it was a 350x I might consider keeping it. I know that any thing other than the cobra exhausts are near impossible to find but really haven't figured out what to ask for it. Any suggestions?

    Super trapp's are nice because they are a spark arrester design. I had one I ebayed this past spring. Mine was very nice no rust and a fresh coat of heat paint, mine did have one dent in it on the tip just after the head pipe. Mine sold for under $30 with $15 shipping, and it was very soild and fresh paint. Of course now I have anouth 250sx so I could have just kept it.

    Well for it really isn't worth my time to get it boxed up for $30. I just can't let it go for that. I will try to get some pics up and post it on the for sale board. Thanks for the input guys.

    How can one tell if the head pipe is really Supertrapp? Other than the fact it wouldn't have the weld nuts for the heat shield?

    It does have the nuts. I own a FULL ST system. I will take pictures if need be. The headpipe is much longer than stock. It will also have a tab on it where it mounts to the frame of the machine. I paid $125 for mine. It was not in good shape either. Hardest part to get is the headpipe.
