Any one use the TMX 38mm from ESR. (fitting ?)

I have it and haven't tried it on yet. My concern is with the adapter ring on the intake side of the carb makes it 1/2" longer which looks like the air box snorkel mite be hard to put on the air box. How does the Kehin 38-39mm carbs fit on the 85-86 250r with the stock air box.

ESR machines the motor side to fit in the stock boot and makes a adapter ring that fits in the air box snorkel. I tried that but my R is all apart rite now. I'll put up a pic tonite of the 2 carbs side by side its hard to explain.Looking at the carb as it would be sitting in the machine its 1/2 longer left to right (inlet to outlet) because of the ring ESR puts on.
