Im getting ready to do my atc70/lifan125 build. Only thing I need is to buy the motor. Where is a good place to order one from. I have seen some really good deals on febay. Just wondering where all you guys who built lifan 70's got yours.

PCC motors was the cheapest for the Lifan 125cc auto clutch, everything included.Only thing to watch out for was wires were colored wrong on the coil.

I got one off flebay, er .. fee-bay, for around $275 delivered, had the carb, cdi and levers, very, very nice. it was the 1P54FMI version, but I think the 1P52FMI is more common. I have built about a dozen honda horizintal engines, I was a bit leary about the china stuff, but the quality for the the money blows me away!

Do yourself a favor and listen to KASEY... I like my Lifan and all, but you have to put it in neutral to start it... I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but it is a PITA sometimes...

I bought a pirranha 125 shipped to my door for $315 off of ebay. I haven't completed my project yet but it seems to be a very nice motor.

PIRANAHA makes a good motor too,, i think most come from the same molds,, its just what they do to make it their own that helps,,, my first lifan is getting a makeover soon i have had it 6 years and it still purrs like a kitten... so its time to unleash some power!! big bore, high compression and a cam..
