    Exhaust Baffle removal

Is there an easy way to remove the exhaust baffles from the muffler of my 1980 YT125? And if I do this, is there an easy way to put them back in if need be? My pipe already has a hole blown into it, so I don't really care if I break too much stuff, but I want to be able to put the baffles back in if it is too loud or if it sounds bad.

I know it will be louder, but I dont know how loud. That is why I want to know if I will be able to put it back in, just in case it is too loud.

no thats why i made this thread, but I think I will just run the engine for a while to get the pipe nice and warm, then smack on it for a while to try to loosen up the baffles, then reach inside with a vice grip and give 'er a pull.

im pretty sure you wont be able to put it back in with out welding it. unless there is a screw or bolt on the underside of the pipe at the end you could take out? if not then then theres no way of putting it back in and its probably tack welded on the inside. it will sound whicked gutted but your neighbours will not like you very much

no, i wouldnt suggest you doing that LOL, it would be the same as removing it. id check it over, look for a bolt or soemthing at the end of the muffler, unscrew it and see what happends. if you cant find one then its probably a welded in type., if you dont care about it, take vise grips or pliers and pull+twist on the baffle till it come loose and out, run it and if its to loud, put it back in and rigg something up to hold it till you can get it welded or new exhaust lol, sorry not much i can say
