WHOAH!! :shock:

Where was I when the trx 450R came out!

I just got done reading some information about it. How do you guys think it will compare to the yfz 450.

Just by reading the specs on it I'm a little worried for Honda. Honda has a 10.1 to one compression ratio compared to the yamaha's 11.9 to 1. The yamaha is also a 5 valve head compared to the 450r 4 valve. They both weigh 350 lbs, though.

The yamaha also has an inch wider wheelbase and more travel in the suspension.

I'm a honda fan myself.

Oh well, not like I'll ever own either of them.

dont be worried about the engnine there basicly the same as in ther bikes and hondas 450 blows away yamahs's. honda's unicam 4 valve is proven (look at the 350x) yamaha is new to 4 strokes

Isn't the TRX450r coming out in December isnt the carb on the trx bigger.

I heard that the 450R is going to be really detuned big time. He said that honda got into a law suit with the 250R in 89, for being to fast from the dealer or something. And not letting honda make a big bore kind sport quad. Thats why they have the 400EX. He said he did some research on them. Curtis spark suppose to be a real big honda guy and he said he has a 450R, but when they did the 4 stroke wars he took the yamaha 450 instead, maybe something to do with honda not wanting it to be shown in pubic yet or something.
So he said you might have to spend twice as much on the R to stay with yfz. When the R does come out we'll see then!

If you want a fast honda quad, get a 400ex rolling chassis and a 450F motor. I was told that hauls ass. Faster then the yfz 450.

Ok...has any one in here even rode the YFZ450? I have a friend of mine has a white and red one. They are not as fast and great as every one brags them out to be. They are unbelievable untill you hit 4th gear. After 4th they are just as normal as anyother quad.

Rode against one in the Cherry Lake harescramble, didn't show me much. (the YFZ450 that is )

When I went to pismo this past weekend the yfz was pretty much tearing everybody up out their, even mild modded shee's.

there must not have been any 250r's there because a banshee aint trailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro..even mildly modded ones!!!
