    82 shift lever wont fit

    I have an 82 250r with i think an 83 motor and the shift lever just doesn't fit on. Any one know exactly what shift lever will work so it doesn't hit the clutch cover or frame??

    there is a difference between the 81-82 motor and 83-84 motor the shift shafts are different lengths

    so what do i do now that it doesn't fit. Should i look for aftermarket levers or fabricate one???
