What is your opinion on Fast Trekkers?

I just won a pair of new 18x11x8 fast trekkers off of ebay for $76 shipped....I couldn't pass em up for that. I already have them on my tri-z but have not rode it yet. My wife doesn't like the yard shredded and my track has 2 foot deep standing water in every corner....any opinions on how they perform? Thanks...

I had a set i bought new for my 85 250r, they have open lugs so its easy to pitch it sideways. but in my opinion they suck in the trails, i got stuck a lot when i was running them. If you ride the track a lot you will be happy they do well on hardpack but i prefer holeshots.

Both me and my son have them on our trikes. They worked good in the snow, but I believe that's because they were new. They do o.k. in the mud too. On dirt roads they also seem fine. Feels like a rubber tire on a 3-wheeler pretty much, lol, but hey, they look snazzy!

They are one of my most hated tire. No traction at all, a horrible tire IMO.

I have a good feeling they come from the makers of the infamous Trail Pro.....Thanks for your input guys.....Sounds like they'll get the job done for $76 bills.

I have never owned them but Want a set bad. I hate holeshots and razors. Nothing looks better then a set of fast trekkers on any trike.

I had a set of the original style on my first 400ex and loved them. I had 20s on the back and rode trails with them almost every weekend for a complete summer. They hooked up good in a straight line and LOVED to slide! I would buy them in a second if they still make the oldschool tread pattern,I wonder how the new ones act. I dont remember how they acted in mud because mine was on a sport quad and I never tried to mud it other than what was on the trails.

I had a set on an 86 200x and would buy them again. I don't think they performed as well as my holeshots, but much better than the turf tamers I had. They slide great.

The 18's and 20's in 8", 9", and 10" are still out there for cheap, I think seconds. For the performance and price it's pretty hard to beat this:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18x11...item5ad9afcb24. Even for cheap-@$$ tires on denniskirk, RockyMountain ATV, or Motosport.com., they don't compare economically. I don't think these are related to trail-pro's, they seem to wear much quicker as they are sorta soft.

Nope, Carlisle made the infamous Trail Pro, and Fast Trekkers are made by Dico.

I disagree on the Fast Trekkers being soft. I believe they are the exact opposite, a pretty hard rubber compound, which makes them wear very well. I'm on my second set of 18-11-10 Fast Trekkers now with no complaints.

I think they were made for Dico by a different company.....my new trekkers are made by Tittan aka "tittan fast trekkers" an older (junk) set I have are identical in every way other than the name...."dico fast trekkers".....now, if you look at tittan trailer tires; they look identical to Carlisle trailer tires.....other than the name. So what came first....the ATV community may never know..
