83 /84 Rear Shock linkage difference Which one is better?

I know there is a difference between both of them but did one have more movement than the other? cause why did they redesign it in 84 was 83 design not very good?

Are you talking about the 200x ?

The 200x changed because their were issues with the swinger cracking / twisting so they changed the whole set up in 84 .
