I just bought a 1985 250sx and the rear fender and gas tank are done for (missing fender chuncks and paint is bad). I am considering putting a white tank on it from an 87 250sx becuase i think they are white. not for sure. I think it would look nicer than bieng all red. I would also like to get a white rear fender for it to. I might stick with the red color its supposed to have for the rear fender though. Will an 87 tank fit my 85 ?

The 87 tank will fit. The 86 tank is white and will fit also. If you 85 tank is not all dented up, you might think about just painting it.

Teaching quads a lesson
Well the color scheme that I am doing on my SX is just like stock, having red fenders, white tank and white headlight and blue seat. I like that look much better than all red and black...........peace

I think the white headlight looks wierd. When I find a nice 86 or 87 250sx, I am going to put a red 85 headlight on (have a couple already)
