2000 Suzuki RM 80, any good for an adult?

I have the chance to snag one for a trade. Doesn't need anything. And it would be the newest thing I ever owned. I have enough trikes that I have to clean up 25 years of others neglect and mistakes. So it would be great to have a new toy that doesn't constantly need stuff and have expensive and rare parts. But I am wondering is it going to be too small? I'm 5' 8" and about 170-175. At first when he said he had an 80 I brushed it off as being too small but the specs say they make 27.5 hp and weight around 150 lbs. Sounds like it would be a really fun bike. I know it wouldn't rip like a 250 but it seems like with 27.5 horse power it would be a lot of fun. The Trail 90 only makes 7 horse power and its fun.

i think it would be fun for messing around but for serious trail riding the ergos and suspension are for 80 lb kids.

The kid who has it says he's like 5' 4" and it sits too tall for him. Hoping it wouldn't be too bad. Funny you got a 1992 Nighthawk in your sig, the other day I decided I wanted and off road toy as reliable as my Nighthawk (1991). Or at least something that can go a few weeks without needing a new part. What part of Michigan are you from?

good bikes, i have the 2004 RM85 (in 2002 they started making 85's instead of 80's) im about 5'5-5'6 and 160lbs and mine huals azz it would outrun any 250 4 stroke 4 wheeler i'v ridden and would outrun a big red 250 too since they started making the 85's the 80's are obsolete, hard to find parts for even the newer models. plus they need rebuilt alot since they are so small yet run so fast, manual says rebuilds every 10 hours but most people will push them to 20 hours, mine lost compression and wouldn't even run at 50 hours, and even tho there new they still need constant maintnence, dont let the tech fool you, with all the speed and power of the 80/85 they lost alot of reliability.

the 80's are plenty for a full grown adult for ripping around. for serious riding, it isnt because the suspension is a bit soft, but you can make it work. I have in the past.

Hop on one and take it for a spin, you will LOVE it.
