Exclamation USPS warning!!!! Use UPS or FED-EX

This is not the first time i have had this problem. Had a package from e-bay shipped to me, supposedly. Tracking number stated delivery on a date. On that date the status said accepted? hmmmm i still had not received my package. waited and waited with no luck.
When contacting the post office to report lost/stolen package. I was told to wait 30 days after delivery date to file a complaint! after 30 days report claim, this is what i was told. Due to non-insured package, and with a date of SAID delivery i was now at fault for not receiving it. After further looking into this, many claims have been made and a USPS tracking # does not mean it is fool proof! I highly advise anyone shipping anything of value to have it insured, or to use UPS or FED-EX they will handle the lost/stolen packages seriously and responsibly. Just my 2c.. Also look into postal worker theft! its higher than any other type of theft!

No disrespect to any postal workers. Your job is not easy i understand this very much.

I just got a piston that was shipped with USPS. I couldn't believe it when i got it. I ordered it the 12th, mid day, and got it on the 14th, noon.

My tracking number says it was going to be here Saturday. This is not a complaint by any means, but points out they are not very organized lol

    They are watching....

I just hate that I have to figure out what the packages are being shipped, ups or usps because i have a PO Box and if I put my street address the USPS won't drop it on my doorstep.

USPS is half the price of UPS usually so sometimes its worth taking risks in life.

My fight is with FedEx for having lazy a$$holes for drivers. I've had to talk to them twice for turning their truck into my driveway and driving through my yard leaving foot deep ruts in the yard. The 2nd time I told them to stay off the property and try real hard not to use FedEx. All this trouble so they won't have to park in the street and walk 15 feet. I've been a delivery driver and I can assure you I would never drive through someones yard to save myself 15 feet of walking.

I have sent and received at least 1000 packages. Most USPS, some Fed Ex and some UPS.

Not 1 item has ever been lost or delayed by any carrier. Maybe 20 of those packages were banged up, torn or damaged in some slight way; Nothing serious.

Just sharing MY experience with the 3............

The only thing I had crunched was a old crt monitor from Ebay. It looked like the PO had played football with it.

People need to quit being cheap ass's, and insure there packages. How bout a signature confirmation? I know some people dont like this because they have to be there, but that's the same reason it is much safer. Without insurance and a signature confirmation, you leave yourself open for problems with the carrier and the buyer/seller.

So they loose one package and you want to shut down the United Stated Postal Service and put 585, 000 people out of work. That is exactly not what America needs right now. Packages and stamps are what fund this service and with the invention of e-mail and instant messaging, it can not take anymore revenue loss. The fall of one of the greatest and longest services of this country will not be good for anyone. If everyone heeds your "warning", then this is exactly what will happen. I myself try to support Country.

My experience with packages shipped USPS have been perfect. I made a point when I moved here 6 yrs ago to introduce myself to our mailman and I also leave a tip a christmast time.
I didn't check my mail for 3 days and she came up to the house to make sure everythings ok, it made me happy to know someone was looking out for me.
The only problem I've had with UPS is they will come late at night and I shut the gate to our house at 6 P.M. and I have to reschedule a delivery.

UPS isn't all that great either...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgAq_KnDIPc

    FedEx ain't much better...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoCYePvJJmE

So it all comes down to how aggravated your delivery person is

I've never had problems with USPS. I've had packages smashed, dented, stepped on, ripped open, and carelessly placed upside down even though the "THIS WAY UP" was clearly marked- a few from FedEx, most from UPS...

Every single person who I have heard "bought insurance", never got a dime back. They claimed improper packaging etc. etc. I agree with the insurance thing but it doesn't seem to work.

I ALWAYS greet all my carriers (if I'm home) and thank them for there services. Maybe thats why I have a good re-pore with them??
