    First Gen 250R Carb Questions

My Brother in law got a 250R This winter. Not sure of the year but its a air cooled so its early 80's.

It ran perfect in the winter. We ripped up the town with it and was fast etc. Started when it was warm very easily. Now it wont run. So I took the carb off and was going to clean it thinking that was the problem. Well it wasent dirty. Turns out the idiot that had it before him had tried to lean it out for the summer. I call the person an idiot because he went and tried to solder or weld pieces to the main jet to make it smaller!!!!! I couldnt believe it when I took the bowl off!!!

So my question is what should the proper jet be as I cant read the bloody number on it. He will be getting a complete rebuild kit but I want him to get some jets as well so we can get this thing running like a top. I am familiar with snowmobiles so I do know how to jet a 2 stroke.

I can look when I get home and see what size stock is. I would recomend going up to the 34mm carb though, huge gain.
