i just put on a 38mm flat slide mikuni carb and im having issues! for one it poors gas out of just about every hose as if the floats are stuck but they're not? after mid throttle it cuts out, it idles fine. its on my 85R... any ideas id appreciate..

Sounds like it might be the float height is set too high.

its the floats for sure! the slide wasnt closing fully but still gas POORS out non stop? this carb has individual floats and im not too familiar with this carb so im kinda confused... going from stock carb to a 38mm really has a big difference with my 310 kit thats for sure...

Sounds like your needle and seat, that is the issue probably 10 times more often than floats. If your needle/seat is dirty, it will let gas pour on through.
