Question for BR owners with non OEM wheels

hey guys , i have 3 big reds that im getting back on the dirt, and i am trying to figure out which wheels you guys are most commonly running in place of the stock 9'' wheels. in other words i am wanting to be able to scour craigslist for factory take-offs of newer (or older) quads. so im not looking for designer wheels like ITP, more trying to figure out other optional wheel sizes on newer quads that will work. do 10'' wheels work better than 12 ? are 12 even possible?do some newer honda wheels not work with the older hubs? i am able to see lots and lots of different tire and wheel combos for sale and i know that the bolt pattern is 4/110 and the tires might end up being 10 or 12 inches wide, but where can i go wrong?
like i said im gonna need about 3 sets of rear tires and wheels that will work but am giving up on sticking with the 9'' wheel/tire combo that is so hard to find. i already bought 1 pair of nice chrome 9'' wheels off craigslist (with tires) that didnt fit over the brake drum/hub
    any input?

I run 81' 250R wheels and hubs on my 82 200e and they are awesome. back sits a tiny bit lower, but that's it. I also run a decent tire so that helps. I think you may find it easier to get wheels if you sway to a more common hub like a 200x, 250r or even a 300ex rear (extends the rear with about 1.5" over all)
