How well does the 250 transmission hold up to the power of the 500 topend? I broke a big chunk of metal out and cracked the 2nd gear journal on my shiftdrum on my 85 250r once, my only mods were cr250 carb and topend gaskets, boyesen reeds on the stock cage, and a fmf pipe. It ran good but it was no 500! I like to hold them wide open and bang the gears
