i almost got my top end tore down. i had to pull the head and cylinder off together. i am having trouble getting the 3 bolts with the allan heads out.

anyway where is the best place to send the cylinder off and get a piston and rings to match?

i guess i need to buy new bolts with allan heads to replace the ones that i stripped out too. can i buy these too.

what kinda engine and triek are we talkin about? That's a lot of info missing. :P

man sory about that. that was stupid of me. big red 250 es. i stripped the 3 hex head bolts but was able to pull the motor then i pull the cylinder and head off all at once. now if i can get the head off the cylinder i can get some parts.

anyway looking for advice on parts and wondering if i need to send the cylinder off?

You have to determine if you need to send the cylinder off. If it is badly scored it should definitely be bored, if not you could just hone it. But without a bore micrometer there is really know way to know if it needs a bore or just a hone. If you got the money best bet is to send it off.

ok if i can get it apart i will send it off. where can i send it too?

dripp the tops off and you can dissamble it, then later you can use vise grips to grab the big shaft sticking up. makes it easier and less damaging to the engine.
