    '85 250SX Supertrapp?

    Hey guys,

I haven't been around in awhile, but I recently purchased a motorcycle and need to clear out some space in the shed. I refuse to sell my restored 350X, Tri-Z, or 250R (300 conversion), so I decided I'd look into selling my 250SX since I've had it since I was 15 and I'm just too big for it anymore.
I don't have any pictures on my computer right now (I'm at college, and everything is on my home computer), but it's a great bike.
I was just curious if anyone could provide any input as to what I can expect to get from it. I was figuring I could easily get around $800 for the bike, since that is what I paid for it and since then I have done extensive work to it. However, I also have a brand-new still in the plastic set of front and rear Maier fenders for it. Additionally, it has a 350X headlight because I wanted the upgraded visibility, a K&N filter, and the real root of my question -- a SuperTrapp pipe.
I know that these pipes are hard to find, and I paid a mint for it when I bought it years ago. It is in great shape, and I have I think 13-15 disks for it. The only problem is that some of the screws that hold the disks on are stripped out, which I know is a common problem. But the pipe itself is still nice and shiny, and the header was blasted and repainted by me (but we all know how high-temp paint holds up on headers).

Anyone know how much SuperTrapp's go for anymore?
I'm assuming that I would be better off taking the pipe off of the bike and selling it seperately.

    Any input would be appreciated!

The core can still be purchased from Supertrapp. I know as I am a dealer. The pipe itself if its complete with CORRECT headpipe could sell for a pretty penny. I would consider selling it seperately. I too own a full supertrapp for my SX. Which was based off of yours quite a bit as I liked what you did a lot.

The headpipe is the one that came with the SuperTrapp.. it is the correct head pipe for the SuperTrapp exhaust system.
What is a ballpark amount that I could expect from it?

Also, it sounds as though you remember my SX Restoration thread? That's been quite awhile!!

I paid $175 for mine. Its worth all of that. Cleaned up, painted and polished maybe $250???

Yeah. It was right around the time that I first bought that SX. Still have her. Also built a sick Tri-z and now an 86 Tecate.
