My new 1987 250es! Nameing suggestions welcome...

Just thought I'd share a couple pictures of my new 87' 250ES! I've been looking for a nice Big Red for about a year and scraped together enough cash that I could afford one. Low and behold the day I get my cash together, a really nice once is listed on craigslist for the exact amount I had saved. And its a 1987! By the time I got to the guys house he said he had about 30 calls on it.

I couldn't be happier with it! Its in very nice original condition. Runs like a champ, and needs only a few minor things. It has soo much power, and compared to my 200e, it feels like riding a feather matress. Let me know what you guys think of it!

PS I haven't officially given it a name, or even established whether it is a "he" or a "she" yet. Do you guys have any suggestions for a name?

I find that toys usaully pick up a name as you go. Everytime i named something in advance, it gets changed after a few hours of riding. Usaully by your buddies.

Right now my Kymco is named Papa Smurf........ go figure.

I forked out $1200 for it...I felt a little guilty paying that much, but its the one I wanted. After watching the prices for a year, I feel like I got a pretty good deal. It is not mint, but in pretty good condition. There is a dent on the left side of the tank that I will try to fix. Otherwise, it really doesn't need anything but new fork boots.

Original plastic, no cracks. Original seat cover, no tears. Still has the original handgrips. Even came with the original owners manual in the trunk and the tool kit with nothing missing. Its got a hondaline speedo that must have been added from a different trike over the years, because the bracket is rusted and the rest of the bike is not. But the speedo works and lights up! It was a 1 owner machine with very low hours. Just what I was looking for!

Also, I knew the 87 250ES's were not very common, but I found some production numbers yesterday and there were less than 5000 produced! And I would bet that less than half of them are still around today. I guess I got pretty lucky...right place right time! http://www.3wheelerworld.com/showthr...uction+numbers

I like "Hoss"! Haven't settled on a name yet though. My 200e is named "Agate" (I go agate picking with my buddies on the weekends). My 110 is named "Rhonda the honda". What have you guys named your trikes?

Wow! Sounds like a reasonable price! My Big Red's name was Leonard. Changed that after I realized that it took to long to say. Now I call it Big'un! Lol

I call my old 200es Betsy.
I call my hotrod 200s Tuco(and for good reason too)
    The 250es is Skipper
    The 185F is Suzi
And the 70 is Paco the Taco.
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

I sometimes refer to my BR as the "hurse" because people call 3 wheelers death traps, and its also a deers last ride out of the woods...
