Will any other gear shifters from other models/year fit a 1983 honda 200e

I want to replace the gear shifter on a 1983 honda 200e. Will one work from other year big red or 185-200s/m etc?

If your talking about the part you press to shift, its pretty much universal, any trike quad or bike shifter should clamp right on. If your talking about the part that goes up inside the trans I'm not sure but id say its a safe bet as long as its off a big red, 185s, or 200s it should work. Hope the input helps man
