Hi, I purchased an after market throttle cable for my 86 250R. After receiving it I see that the OEM cable is integrated into the carb cap. Can my new aftermarket cable be installed into the carb cap? Any tips on how to replace this?

Motion pro sells a cable with the cap it costs about $30 or so. Just letting you know
