I wouldn't say its a lie. He says in the description that its a 200. I don't think its written in stone from Honda that is a BR, but for that year it is a big red in some people's mind. Big red name wasn't put into place until 84, Like the 84 200es, its the first labled Big red. i may be wrong. but the trike pictured looks like a plan old ATC200, not an 83 though, no front supension, unless he down grade.

just noticed your sig, you have your 83 labeled BR???

Some people think any Honda is a Big Red. That is NOT a Big Red. The tail end is too short. Notice the rack is hanging in the air. Not shocks on the front. The first real Big Red was 1982. It was chain drive with no reverse. Same fenders that were later used on the 200M (squared off more than those). That looks like a 200 or 200s... most likely a 200. Not $600 bucks worth either.

I had a new 82 Big Red in 82. I have an almost mint 82 Big Red now. That is NOT a Big Red.
Since they outlawed 3 wheelers..... only outlaws still have them!

1885 Honda 200M (sold to father-in-law he rides it everyday)
1982 Honda Big Red 200E (near mint)
    1998 Kawasaki Lakota 300 (daughter's)

Exactly, except it is an 81, if I am seeing the front brake correctly. The 81 has a bolt that locks the brake plate. The 82 has a diiferent brake attachment, as well as the fork being different at the attach point. I have one of each.....

its labeled an 1983, and it looks to be a 200e/200m. My father has a 200m and iother than the clark tank on this one shown, its a twin, including the front end.

Ok, after looking more carefully, it is definately an 81 ATC 200. 81 had the kill switch on the thumb throttle housing, manual compression release, front fork with mounting tab for brake plate. 82 had auto comp release w/ cable, kill switch on L/H handlebar, and no mounting tab for brake plate.
