    1983 250R I had... Whish I still had it

I got this NEW in 1983. I put a DG gold head, ported cylinder, 38mm mikuni carb, Bills pipe, boost bottle, twist throttle and +4" Durablue axle. I was 15 when I got it. I whish I still had it but I traded it for a NEW 1985 250R when they first came out. I still have the 85. That thing sure was fast with me on it then as I only weighed 118 lbs !!!

Wow amazing story, dont you wish you would have sealed that thing in a vault somewhere and could have it exactly how it was in 1985. Man it almost brings tears thinking about my 85 250r i sold back in 2001.

That would be awesome to open a vault and find it just the way it was in 1985. It was lowered for oval track racing in the pics but I won 2 track championships in 1983 on moto cross tracks in Carthage, IL and Woodland (near Palmyra MO). I got 1st or 2nd or crashed and sometimes I still got 1st or 2nd when I crashed every race that year. It has goodyear tires on it in the pics but I ran nankang tires that was hard as hockey pucks and with not much tread. I was always last off the line but with those tires and extended axle I could corner like a sprint car and only weighing 118 lbs helped a lot also
