    The working/ugly 3 wheeler

I have checked out a lot of threads on this site since I joined a few months ago and I had seen the threads with members showing off their awsome trikes so I decided to start a thread about the working/ugly beaten and broken 3 wheelers. The 200m in the pictures is an 84 I got from an old farmer. The starter and all the wires were junk so he gave it to me for free(his old hands couldn't pull start it). When I got it the only thing visually wrong with it was the fenders were cracked otherwise it looked just like the one in the ads on this site. I have had it for 6 years and I have to say its one tough 3 wheeler. It goes through more mud than anything my buddies have and it won't die. Front tire blew when I was running it through the swamp so it sat(on my property) for a 1 1/2 years I got my buddies 4 wheeler to pull it up changed the gas new spark plug new tire hosed it off and she fired right up. I want to see or hear about your working/ugly beaten and broke 3 wheeler. this is my first thread since joining so if the pics don't work I'll re try getting them up.

That rack I got on mine is custom I had got some square tubeing and cut and welded it fit nicely I had a manufactured one but it had a stupid 4 inch loop in the middle so if I hauled something on back the loop would push it off.

Figured I'd post a pic of my new "treasure". I picked this thing up for free along with a spare trike that was only an axle, engine and frame... This thing had a bent axle, hole in the gas tank, smashed steering stem bearings (the races literally fell out in pieces), The rear brake pedal mount has been ripped right off, the handlebars were bent, the rear brake cable was looped around the bars and ran to the front wheel, missing a battery (like most), and the body work was busted and "sewn" with zip ties. It was also missing a front fender, Not to mention the various electrical issues and hot-wired ignition switch and severed wiring harness. There is still more than what has been listed, I just don't want to get too long winded...

I still have to fix the front suspension and replace the rear hubs. Waiting on a front brake cable. It at least has rear brakes now instead of none... I have changed all the oils (twice). And welded up the rear rack (it was broken and welded to the spare trikes frame....ugh....farmers). Still needs a lot but at least its completely serviced and has brakes and a straight axle now. Just have to pick away at the rest of the unit.

Hope the photo worked... first time trying to post one.

Heres my one and only. Shes not home right now because she decided her front bearings weren't important when we were screaming around a corner coming out of my friends one field. Shes hiding in a barn with a few sheep and a horse without her front end on her. Oh and how shes sitting the headlight shrouds cracked from sliding on ice this past winter and rolling it.

It will make a fun project and doesn't look too bad. You can turn it into a real work horse. Thats what farmers do but you can always get good deals from them.
