Will this work? I bent a fork on my x and front end was fairly beat up to start with. If welding new stearing stops is the only thing thats fine.

all you need to do is bore out the old 200x tripples and slid in the 250r forks. u dont need the tripples. also the 83-84 250r front caliper, wheel and disk brake is the same as the 200x stuff.

I am not sure about the tube diameters but I believe the tripples will bolt right on and you will not have to bore anything. I have put 200x fronts on 81Rs and it is a simple bolt on swap.
EDIT: I just realized you said 86 model. I have no idea??
