85 sx handle bar pinned my leg to the tank and rev limiter question

First slow ride, New sx, bent the bars back out
but sure looks like the left fork is bent too.

and is there any way to put a rev limiter on these things?
    a) it's faaaast and wheelies up at the touch of the throttle more so than the other 5 I have.
    b) I'm not the only one who rides these things.

Would it be a sin to detune it a bit?
Am I the only one who's asked how to make these things run worse?

There's this little button you push with your right thumb that regulates how much power the engine makes. The more you push it, the more power you get. If you don't want too much power, don't push so hard on the button.

    Yes, and yes...
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

I do believe you may be the only person that wants to go slower and do less wheelies. I don't know about everyone else but about everything that I own with an engine is going to get tinkered with eventually, even the lawn tractor. I even shaved the cylinder base and ported my chainsaw.

Maybe I'll break out a few 90's and 110's and hide the cool stuff.

Neighbor let his kid ride and told him not to go fast.

well 100 yards away blowing sparks out of the exhaust, he was NOT
going fast but had it revved to valves floating.

Don't some of the 90's have a screw with a locknut on the throttle?

I hate to lock 'em all up and use the golf cart.

bb guns and moving target practice?
    remote kill switch?

Just adjust the pull from the thumb throttle. You can adjust the cable and guide's so that you only open the slide halfway. or open the thumb throttle and put a stopper in it so that the throttle can only go halfway. Just a suggestion...

    PERfect, thanks.

I just got a case of tunnel vision but that kid was running FULL throttle in 1st gear, blew out the
muffler packing and made me sad worrying about my cam journals melting.

I actually liked the bbgun idea since he was wearing a helmet and faceshield.
Prob woulda thought it was a bee sting anyway.
Might have made him go faster too.
    (just kidding)
