    Buying a 1985 225DR. Advice Please

    Howdy yall

    I found myself straddling the fence on purchasing 85' 225DR. I have been either looking for a 250sx or the DR. I have spend the last 6+ months looking for either of the two in cherry condition - original owner, all the original ppwk, and 9.5 out of 10 condition. The guy is asking $1500 (prolly get it about $1300) which I know is steep but I'm yet to find one in this shape. I know that the parts are harder to find for the Yamies, this I don't mind. Just thought it would be cool to have the rarer machine and huntin down parts when needed. Any one have any suggestions or advice?

    SX is a nicer machine. But with what you are looking at,MINT!! There shouldn't be a lot to look for wrong! The usual,rotten carb,tires and lines. Diffs are problem spots on all shaft machines if improperly owned. But again with the quality you're looking at,,doesn't sound too far out of line! Def a rarer machine! And a nice one at that! Is she black?
