Thanks JEB I'll check it out - I wish the stock gold rims were 8", it doesn't seem like they make an 18" tire for a 9" rim so I'll have to go with the 20" tire. Those Honda rims are just so thick I refuse to change them - on top of that I like the look :-D

    Thanks again

Yep, R rims are thick! I couldn't believe how much thicker compared to the stock Z & KXT.

As for an 18 - 9 Tire, My R has 18x11-9 fast trekkers. They are pretty wore down, but I like the looks of them. The 18x11-10s are even more low!

Funny thing is, these 18" Trekkers are allot shorter of a tire than my 18" Turf Tamers.

    9 inch tires

itp makes 18-11-9 holeshots they just started making them again. they quit in the mid 90's and started a year or 2 ago. you can get them threw the mail order places in dirt wheels. they don't make the 18-11-9 turf tamers and fast trekkers anymore.

Hey Jeb is that the R you got?? It looks fantastic - If thats what steelwool and WD40 do to a tank I'm up for that!!

Yep, thats it. I need to get updated pics because I have since improved the tank 200% from that pic. and replaced the bent forks with straight units complete with new seals and fresh oil, rebuilt by yours truly. At the time that pic was taken I hadn't even started on that side of tank. When I got the thing it was stripped completely in pieces and I couldn't resist putting it back together for a pic as well as to learn the assembly of the 250R and see what parts it might be missing. I've also got a red screen plate now I'd like to see what it looks like on it.

Of course I don't have an engine in it righ now. Its on the work bench getting ready for complete over-haul in the near future. The rolling chassis is almost 100%. I need some front brake line "bracketry", rear master cylinder and couple more small items. It's probably my best bet not to dive into engine costs this close to Christmas. I gotta do my best to put my life-long trike addiction off until after then. I hope to have it running like new by next spring. I've really enjoyed working on it. It's cleaning up nicely, Honda's engineering really is great, and parts availability has just tickled me $@#$-less compared to the KXT and YTZ. AND, I have shopped around and done allot of replacement work with QUALITY used parts for very little money. I want to ride it so bad, i've "entertained" the thought of dropping in the KXT or YTZs motor! LMFAO :-D
