Stator Question?

Not to sound stupid but where does the STATOR go and what does it do on a 85 Honda 250sx? And the Plusar?

Stator is under the left side engine cover,above the shifter,it houses your stator and flywheel,which makes the voltage to convert into your spark. They are frequently bad on these models from poor maintenance,dirty oil. The oil carries the dirt and clutch debris,the magnets pick it out of the oil to the point they short out the pulser and stator. You check them simply by the manual available here for free,and an ohm meter. Color coded,easy stuff.
