What is the highest compression i can run 91 octane gas on, with out messing up the piston/ hearing pinging?

there is no magical number for detonation, just like jetting it relies on various factors. It is pretty safe to assume however, that premium gas (93 octane in my neck of the woods) is sufficient for stock motors, and aftermarket pistons up to around 10:1 compression, and anything over that I would be running race gas.

alrigh then.. in my neck of the woods i am 99.9% sure that the premium octane gas is 91
