How much is a 250sx worth not running?

Me and jay was out riding the back roads as my field is 2 wet 2 ride in and we seen a bigred sitting by a guy barn, we stopped and talked to em and he don't want to sell that but he has a 85 250sx sitting in his back yard hes not sure if it runs or not he only got it for the rear hub, he wants $50 for it, so i'm thinking its well worth $50 to part it out but wonder if it might even run, but if it don't would anyone on here be interested in parts? rear plastics r junk

That's a steal Bigdawg, I'd hop on that thing in a hurry. Tha 250SX is a great all purpose trike (shaft drive w/ reverse, electric & kick start), and I'm still kicking myself for selling mine.

If it's complete and the motor turns over w/ compression and isn't too rotted, I'm thinking you could easily flip the thing/part it out for a profit if you decide it isn't worth fixing.

Check the oil for water, see if it's got spark & compression, bring some starter fluid and see if you can get it to fire.

Oh yeah, just a WAG (without seeing it first), I'm thinking you could easily flip the thing for $200 if you just wanted to make a quick buck. For 50 bones I don't see how you could go wrong.
    Current trikes owned:

    1985 Yamaha Tri-Z 250...fully restored

    1985 Honda 250 SX...nice survivor original condition

No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!
